Main Ritual Prep Begins
BETWEEN 11 AM & 1 PM, WEATHER DEPENDING
Digging the Hole and Prepare the May Pole will begin. Queen Chisuzu will begin the Dig while King Dark World will bless the tree prior to it being felled. Once the tree is felled, prepration of the tree will then commence. This is where the women and men (aligned with how you identify) of the festival will separate in preparation for coming back together when we Dance the Maypole.
More details will be shared at the Festival.
Faery Circle Opens
4 PM
Join us in making bubble wishes as we open the Kid-at-Heart Faery Circle! This circle will remain open for the duration of the Festival, offering a place for young ones and adults alike to take a break and immerse in some Faery Energy & fun!
PLEASE NOTE: All childern under the age of 12 require adult supervision.
Festival Scavenger Hunt Begins
4:30 PM
Join in some fun an frolicking around the woods! Your objective, should you choose to accept it, is to get a picture of each item on the Scavenger Hunt List!
The challenge this year will include four items that came to us through song lyrics. If you can tell which of the items are included, you get extra points in the form of “mini tarot & witchy stickers.”
Be sure to take a photo of the Scavenger Hunt List at the Check-In Table.
Once you find every item, bring your pictures back to the main community camp (ask for Seanachai or KaTerra) and receive a special, age-appropriate, Goody Bag!
You may complete the Scavenger Hunt on your own schedule, from 4:30 PM on Thursday through Saturday at dusk.
Art in the Round Workshop
5 PM - 6 PM
This is a fun and exciting way to create some art for yourself and others! Each person attending will be given a 5×7 canvas board to begin a painting based on a theme provided (with paint pens).
You will have three minutes to paint and then you will pass your canvas to another person who will add to the painting over the next three minutes. The paintings will be passed to all attendees. When you receive your canvas back, you will have an amazing piece of Collective Art.
All supplies will be provided.
Opening Ritual & Kaftan Parade
8 PM
Wear your favorite Kaftan and join your hosts, Queen Chisuzu & King Dark Wolf for the official start of our Beltaine Weekend!
We will meet at the Dearly Beloved Shrive for our Dedication of this Sacred Place of Connection with the Past, Present, and Future. Please bring one or more medium-sized rocks that you would like to add to this area as a boarder for the bulbs that will be planted in the Fall. You can find rocks throughout the Windward property or bring some from home.
This “Past, Present, Future” garden will be an area to connect with all those we have known in the past, who we are in the present, and those who will come in the future. After the Dedication, we will parade to the main fire for a Ritual Blessing and Invocation of the Ancestors, Goddess, and God to open the BITG festivities. The fire will be lit, with some chilling and fun to commence!
Get festive and bring your drums and other instruments. Dance, sing, make music, and be merry!

Sigils for Justice Workshop
10 AM - 11 AM
Join Seanachai for a magickal intention with Sigils. In this time of political injustice running rampant, there are ways we can protect, empower, connect, and strengthen ourselves and community at large. The sigils we will make come from one of the most prolific voices of today’s Witches Resistance movement, Laura Tempest Zakroff. The more of us who put our own intention into these sigils, the more they will reverberate and resonate along the web of energy that connects us all.
Cingulums: Consecrate Your Tools, Consecrate Your Life Workshop
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Join Seanachai to make a “traditional witch’s belt,” also known as a Cingulum. With a congulum in hand you have a versatile tool that can help with consecrating (a rite to bless your magickal tools and more), and establish/re-establish energetic bonds with items you hold dear.
Supplies will be provided.
May Ma Hosted Tea
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Join KaTerra and other past May queens – AKA May Mas – for a cup of afternoon tea and charcutiere snacks while stories of the May Queen experience and journeys are shared.
This is an excellent time to ask questions and learn about our community Beltaine traditions that have taken place over the years.
Transgender Mysteries
2:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Join Miss Remy in a sacred hour dedicated to Transgener Mysteries. There is much to learn, to share, and to elighten on what it means to identify as transgender, and how one can be empowered as suc. All are welcome to join however you identify. This is a special opportunity not to be missed!
The Stations of the Unicorn Workshop
4 PM - 5 PM
Join King Dark Wolf on a guided walking meditation. With life comes grief, trials and tribulations. But there is also growth, reflection and redemption. Allegory can be a powerful way to connect within when dealing with trauma or when in search of guidance towards personal growth. Through allegory, the Stations of the Unicorn will be presented as a walking meditation where you will discover the transformative power of storytelling.
The original purpose of this workshop is to provide an intentional opportunity for anyone who finds themselves dealing with the trauma and grief from the unexpected passing of Ashtyn Martinez. We also want to acknowledge and support anyone else who may be dealing with a past trauma or grief not directly related to the events of BITG 2024.
This decade we find ourselves in has brought with it many such examples many times over. It is our hope that this walk through Allegory will help others towards any healing they may be on the journey towards seeking.
All are welcome and encouraged to join.
Community Meeting
6 PM
Come one, come all!
If this is your first BITG, we request your attendance for our important Newbie Talk. We want to be sure everyone understands the intentions of this Festival and the Main Ritual.
We will also review what our new May Queen and King can expect. If you are called to step forward, this is your time to learn more about what to do, when, and how.
Community Potluck
7 PM
We will have a community potluck dinner prior to the Bardic Circle. Bring your own plate, bowl, cup, and utensils. Please also bring a dish to share (enough for 5-8 people). Be sure to provide a label with all ingredients listed.
We will gather in the main festival area to share food and make memories. Please keep in mind that it may be hot weather-wise and food safety is important. Keep this in mind as you are deciding what to bring.
Gates Close

Kaftan Parade & Bardic Circle at the Main Fire

BITG is all about creating community and working magick together. What better way to get to know each other than with a great, big Bardic Circle?!? We invite everyone to join in the fun, share a song or dance, a short story, poem, joke, riddle, limerick, or whatever else tickles your fancy! Don’t fret if you don’t feel like the performing type – share a little something about yourself or tell the tale of a memorable experience. We all have something to offer!
Adult hours begin after the Bardic Circle closes.
